VIDEO: DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN ATTACKS STUDENT ON DC SIDEWALK

It would appear that congressional Democrats are no longer content with doing violence to the Constitution (via Obamacare’s unconstitutional provisions). Now, we have members of Congress literally doing violence to actual citizens on the streets of our nation’s capital. In this case, Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) is the perpetrator. Here’s the video (via BigGovt):

UPDATE

Doug Powers has a good slogan idea for Rep. Etheridge’s opponent in the upcoming midterm (Renee Ellmers):

I’ll focus my swings on knocking out the debt instead of my constituents.

All kidding aside, shouldn’t Etheridge be arrested or something? Voting for Obamacare (as Etheridge did) may not be (technically) a crime. But assault is still illegal in DC, right?

The student should file a criminal complaint. This is a clear case of battery.

Rep. Etheridge was the one assaulted. He is walking down the street and someone thrusts a mike into his face. He simply asked for the person to identify himself. This was a setup for intentional political purposes. I know this rep. Personally, and he is a quiet, thoughtful person. It would be interesting to know what privation was done before the camera was turned om!

No one kept the ongressman from walking away . When the mic was not in his face his swung out at the student, grabbed his arm and then his neck. He could have have said “No comment” and kept waking.
He is a public servant anbd should expect the public to ask him questions.

“He simply asked for the person to identify himself” So — ? I know you can’t be serious. If someone treated an “above the law” congressman that way, they would get arrested. Say bye bye to your buddy Etheridge next election. And no I don’t believe you do know him. If so, was he drunk? He looked pretty trashed to me.

If I was Muhammad Ali in my prime I’d be awful scared of the congressman.
