Boy that quisling strategy really worked out well for the AMA! First, Harry Reid rams through a “doc fix” that does precisely the opposite of what was promised in return for the AMA’s collaboration on Obamacare. Now, Nancy Pelosi is refusing to bring even that half measure up for a vote in the House:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi struck a combative tone tonight, rejecting the Medicare ‘doc fix passed hastily through the Senate Friday until Senate Republicans allow a vote on jobs measures that have passed through the House.
It is particularly weird that Pelosi is holding the doc fix hostage to GOP cooperation on the fraudulent “”jobs” bill. It isn’t the Republicans who need this fix. If the doc fix fails to go through, the quislings of the AMA won’t blame the GOP for double-crossing them. Their deal was with the Dems.
Meanwhile, the docs are going to take a 21% cut on their Medicare payments. James J. Rohack, the former AMA President who made the deal, apparently believed he could escape the gaping maw of government-run health care by feeding his members and patients to the beast.
Ooops. I guess he was wrong, eh?

Um, didn’t you get the message? Obamacare is your friend, only here to help you. Obamacare is much like Alex in A Clockwork Orange when he claims he is benign, only going out and doing good things like helping people and the like.
