BOWDLERIZING BYRD’S RECORD

Thomas Bowdler was an English physician whose desire to publish an edition of Shakespeare acceptable to nineteenth-century sensibilities led him to expurgate many of the Bard’s “controversial? passages.

The result was that the good doctor’s name has since been transformed into a verb meaning to “sanitize? someone’s writing or past. That perfectly describes what the MSM is attempting to do with Democrat Robert Byrd’s sordid history.

But, as the following clip from Fox shows, they haven’t been so anxious to Bowdlerize the record of Republicans:
