A few weeks ago, a survey was released that showed progressives to be generally illiterate where economics are concerned. If that survey didn’t convince you, this video of Nancy Pelosi talking about job creation will close the sale. She actually seems to believe that unemployment checks create jobs:
It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name.
It would be (somewhat) plausible for her to assert that these checks soften the economic damage caused by double-digit unemployment. But to believe, as she clearly does, that they actually create jobs is indicative of a single-digit IQ:
