VIDEO: SHAKE-UP AT BERWICK’S BELOVED NHS

One of the tragic ironies of Obama’s recess appointment of Donald Berwick, an avid admirer of Britain’s socialized medical system, is that the UK itself has taken its first step AWAY from the failed command and control model.

Like France, and other European social democracies, Britain’s leadership has finally figured out that the old top-down, central planning methods so beloved of our new CMS administrator just don’t serve patients very well.

So, the new government has decided to shake up the NHS, eliminating much of the bureaucracy and empowering doctors and patients. Predictably, the old regime is whining about the much-needed reforms. That’s a very good sign:
