You’d think that broadcast news types would have enough sense to know that allowing the government to restrict the First Amendment rights of one group would be the first step toward a Soviet-style, state-controlled media. But these two CNN anchors don’t seem to get that. In this clip, Kyra Phillips and John Roberts agree that there should be a crackdown on bloggers who disparage others on the internet. Presumably, by “others,” they mean “reporters” who behave more like campaign operatives than journalists:
