Well, the party line has already emerged on the Tea Party primary victories: the GOP “is committing suicide.” It’s all over the “news” media and the blogosphere. Don’t believe a word of it. It’s exactly the same meme they used at the beginning of the Reagan revolution.

The Dems, the MSM and some establishment Republicans tell us we must vote for RINOs if we are to escape from the wilderness. In reality, it was the RINOs who led us into the desert. W. James Antle  reminds us of what conservatives got when we voted RINO:

They watched Specter leave the GOP and hand the Democrats a filibuster-proof Senate majority. They watched “Jumpin’” Jim Jeffords of Vermont hand the Senate over to the Democrats in 2001. They let Rhode Island Rockefeller Republican Lincoln Chafee cling to the GOP label only to watch him leave the party and endorse Barack Obama.

This year it’ different. It’s open season on RINOs:

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski fell to an unknown conservative named Joe Miller. Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson was badly beaten in his Senate race by upstart constitutionalist Rand Paul. Former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton lost a similar race to Ken Buck. Sharron Angle toppled Sue Lowden in Nevada. Sen. Bob Bennett didn’t even make it out of the Utah Republican state convention.

Now the RINOs are forced to switch BEFORE the election:

Florida’s Charlie Crist and perennial Pennsylvania weathervane Arlen Specter have fled Republican Party to try to extend their political careers beyond primaries they had no hope of winning.

So here’s a reality check for the GOP establishment:

Conservatives have gotten tired of electing Republicans only to get bigger government and massive deficit spending. They are tired of giving their votes and campaign contributions to GOP politicians who pursue conservative goals halfheartedly if at all.

In other words, if you want to survive Mr. Republican, start acting like a conservative. As Ronald Reagan demonstrated thirty years ago, the voters will vote GOP in huge numbers if the Republicans cut the Democrat Lite routine. The voters don’t like the Dems. They will vote GOP if we provide a genuine choice.

Do you think Delaware will choose Christine O’Donnell?

Hard to say. They have consistently voted for that braying ass, Joe Biden, which is not a positive indicator of their collective judgment.

On the other hand, they finally decided to dump that perfidious RINO, Mike Castle, so maybe they’re waking up.

I can tell you that the “nuts & sluts” coverage she’s getting from the usual supects wil drive voters to (rather than from) her.

The voters are growing VERY tired of that crap.

I sent $50 to Christine O’Donnell from Michigan. I am SO glad I didn’t buy Tokyo Rove’s book.

OK, leaving aside her ‘mis-statements’ and some distinctly odd beliefs, she is anti-abortion in rape cases, is anti-evolution, has questioned AIDS funding and stem cell research, and so on. Are these positions you also believe in? It’s not a matter of ‘crap’ but policy and belief, surely.

Who cares that she doesn’t believe in evolution. It’s a question that doesn’t matter. And she has principles. She thinks abortion is murder. I might disagree, but at least she’s honest.

All this doesn’t matter. She will not vote for deficits, and bailouts, and will vote for policies to make America strong. Who cares about the other crap?
