Want to know why top-down rule by a privileged ruling class is a bad idea? This video from Bill Whittle provides one of the clearest explanations you will ever hear:
First, it is anti-democratic. Second, the elites will steal money (i.e. taxes) from the serfs (i.e. you) and give it to the new nobility (i.e. themselves). Third, it just doesn’t work.
This, by the way, is why government-run health care (in all its multifarious forms) has failed everywhere it has been introduced. It’s a classic top-down, elitist project:
