SEVEN IMMEDIATE STEPS THAT CAN BE TAKEN TO DELAY OCARE IMPLEMENTATION

While we wait for the various constitutional challenges to work their way through the courts, and for sufficient votes in Congress for outright appeal, there are at least seven specific actions that can be taken against ObamaCare immediately. Robert Goldberg has an excellent piece, over at the American Spectator, in which he provides details:
1. Cutting […]

DR. DREW DENOUNCES OBAMACARE

I don’t watch television, so I must confess that I had never heard of Drew Pinsky before I listened to this interview. Nonetheless, he certainly provides a succinct and accurate appraisal of the nanny-state boondoggle known as PPACA:
There will be a massive flight of physicians from the field and hospital closures.

AARP SHIFTS HEALTH COSTS TO EMPLOYEES, LIES ABOUT REASON FOR OCARE SUPPORT

The people who run AARP, like their fellow quislings at the AMA, decided early in the health reform battle to betray its members. Now the organization’s employees get to foot the bill by paying 8 to 13 percent more next year on health insurance premiums. They use “medical inflation” as a fig leaf, but the obvious reason for the increase is ObamaCare:
AARP […]

VIDEO: FOUR STATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL DISCUSS THEIR ANTI-OBAMACARE LAWSUITS

The AGs of Virginia, Florida, Nebraska and Wisconsin discuss the impact of the midterms on the prospects for their various constitutional challenges to ObamaCare. My favorite comment came from Ken Cuccinelli (Virginia) in response to a question about sitting down with the President and working out some kind of compromise:
Obeying the Constitution is not negotiable.

VIDEO: DOCTORS TELL GOP TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT OBAMACARE REPEAL

In the AmSpec piece referenced in the preceding post, I suggest that the most difficult step in eradicating PPACA may well be getting the GOP fully on board with the defunding project. These docs make it clear that they (like the rest of us who voted Republican last Tuesday) are not interested in compromise:

HOW THE GOP CAN STOP THE OCARE VIRUS

My latest piece for the American Spectator discusses the best way to eradicate PPACA before it spreads any further:
Progressive pundits and policy wonks boast that, despite Tuesday’s Republican victory in the House, ObamaCare will be very difficult to eradicate … Nonetheless, when the Republicans officially take control of the House in January, they will still […]

VIDEO: BOEHNER VOWS THAT OCARE WILL “NEVER, EVER … EVER” BE IMPLEMENTED

President Obama obviously didn’t get the point of last Tuesday, but John Boehner certainly did. In this interview, he makes it clear that the new House majority will use all its powers to bring down this nanny-state boondoggle:
We can dent this, kick it, slow it down to make sure it never happens. And trust me, I’m […]

CBO ON DRUGS

If there is anyone out there looking for yet another reason to deep-six ObamaCare, the Congressional Budget Office provided one today:
In response to a request from House Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Congressional Budget Office [CBO] confirmed that President Obama’s massive health care law will increase prescription drug prices.
How?
CBO’s letter […]

THE GOP PICKED UP A RECORD 680 STATE LEGISLATURE SEATS ON TUESDAY

Talk about a tsunami!! Tuesday saw the largest gain of state seats in the modern era, drowning the previous record of 628 set in 1974 (right after the Watergate fiasco):
The GOP gained majorities in at least 14 state house chambers. They now have unified control—-meaning both chambers—-of 26 state legislatures.
The GOP now holds the legislature […]

FUNNY VIDEO “TRIBUTE” TO NANCY PELOSI: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Nancy Pelosi’s response to her involuntary termination as Speaker of the House suggests that she hasn’t quite absorbed its significance for her own life:
We have taken the country in a new direction and we are not going back to the failed policies of the past.
Er … Nancy … You don’t get to drive anymore. Now someone […]
