According to the projections made by the White House at the time the “stimulus” legislation passed, unemployment should now be at 7%. Unfortunately for the millions of Americans who find themselves out of work, the actual unemployment figure is 9.8%. In the following chart, the blue line is what we were promised, and the brown dotted line above is what we got:
