MEDIA CONTINUE TO LIE ABOUT BUSH & GOVT-SPONSORED END-OF-LIFE COUNSELING

The “news” media have been conscientiously parroting the White House talking point (i.e. lie) that Donald Berwick’s bureaucratic end run around Congress on government-sponsored end-of-life counseling (i.e. tricking Granny into signing her own death warrant) is just a continuation of a Bush administration policy.

This latest Obot whopper has been corrected by the WSJ and Kirsten Powers at Fox, but it has never been corrected by Politico, The Hill or the countless lefty blogs providing cover for the egregious bureaucratic fiat. The facts, as usual, conflict with the White House/Dem/Media propaganda:

While the Obama White House spoon-feeds the narrative that the end-of-life provision first appeared in a 2008 Bush-era law, the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008, they forgot that the particular bill they reference was actually VETOED by President George W. Bush and the veto was OVERRIDDEN by the Pelosi-led Democrats and some willing Republicans.

And yet the Ministry of Truth keeps promulgating the lie … and the beat goes on.
