Milton Wolf has an excellent column in the Washington Times about the breathtaking hypocrisy of Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) on ObamaCare:

Becoming the most hypocritical politician in America is not an easy goal to achieve, but New York’s Rep. Anthony Weiner, a Democrat, is up to the task. Earlier this year … the man who actually said, “I wrote the bill … the bill and I are one? wants his own “get out of jail free? card from this abominable law.

That’s right. One of ObamaCare’s most vocal advocates wants to exempt his own district from its consequences. As I have written at the American Spectator and on this blog, the ObamaCare waiver scandal is one of the most egregious cases of political corruption in U.S. history. And now, as Wolf puts it:

Weiner wants in on the action. Why? He thinks escaping Obamacare would mean that New York City “can save money and have more control over its own destiny.? Regular Americans need not apply.

If a Republican president and his allies had perpetrated this kind of skulduggery, every “progressive” in the land would be howling for impeachment. All we hear now is crickets. Read the rest of Wolf’s column here.

Since the law was written to provide maximum flexibility during the transition period, I don’t see what the problem is with people taking advantage of the law’s waiver provisions.
The critics of the transition waivers are mistaking a feature for a bug.

Don’t be ridiculous, nyp. The waivers are obviously a payback scheme designed to reward unions and other Democrat front groups for supporting an unpopular and unconstitional law.
