Not about health care, of course, but too sweet to ignore:
John Lennon was a closet Republican, who felt a little embarrassed by his former radicalism, at the time of his death - according to the tragic Beatles star’s last personal assistant.
Predictably, this has already brought down a tsunami of personal attacks (from The Nation and the rest of the usual suspects) on the ex-assistant who revealed it.
But if you actually listen to the words of “Revolution” it’s clear that, even in his most radical period, Lennon was refusing to give money to jerks like Bill Ayers and other faux revolutionaries:
