JUDICIARY COMMITTEE LAUNCHES PROBE OF KAGAN’S ROLE IN OBAMACARE DEFENSE PREP

In my American Spectator piece about Justice Elena Kagan’s conflict of interest concerning PPACA, I noted that 49 Republicans had last week sent a letter to the House Judiciary Committee asking for an investigation of her role in preparing the defense of the health “reform” law:

The GOP letter … suggests that Kagan was less than forthcoming about the ObamaCare issue during her confirmation hearings: ‘Contrary to her 2010 confirmation testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, recently released Department of Justice documents indicate that Justice Kagan actively participated with her Obama administration colleagues in formulating a defense of PPACA.’

The 49 signatories want the Committee to force the Obama DOJ to produce documents it has thus far refused to release. The letter went out on the letterhead of Rep. John Fleming (R-LA), who explains in the following video (via CNSnews) that the Judiciary Committee has begun the requested probe:
