Remember when Nancy Pelosi said ObamaCare would create 400,000 new jobs almost immediately? Well, apparently Boston Scientific didn’t get the memo:

Boston Scientific Corp. said yesterday that it plans to eliminate 1,200 to 1,400 jobs worldwide during the next 2 1/2 years to free money for new investments, the Natick medical device maker’s second major round of cuts since last year.

What, you ask, has this mass job killing to do with ObamaCare? Well, ObamaCare raises taxes on medical device manufacturers.

And what do businesses do when a state or country raises the cost of doing business? They go elsewhere to do business, of course:

Yesterday’s move, a day after Boston Scientific disclosed it was investing $150 million and hiring 1,000 people in China, raised fears that the company will gradually shift more work to foreign sites with less government oversight and lower costs than the United States.

And, come to think of it, Nancy never promised the new jobs would be AMERICAN jobs, now did she? She must have meant new CHINESE jobs.

The voters fired Nancy from her job as Speaker of the House. In 2012, it will be time to fire her accomplices in the Senate and White house.
