In his latest column for the Washington Times, Milton Wolf marvels at the inability of our governing class to absorb the economic lessons of the past few years:
Never before in history has such overwhelming evidence failed to convince the smart-set governing class of the obvious: Government cannot create wealth.
So, who adds real value to the economy? That would be you, producing products or providing services other Americans want, and investors willing to risk capital:
Entrepreneurs will create the jobs and reignite the economy if the government will create a predictable business climate and then just get out of the way.
Wolf goes on to list the steps to getting government “out of the way,” including regulatory reduction and making the Bush tax cuts permanent. Read the rest of Wolf’s column here.
