Well, it’s obvious that Herman Cain’s potential Democrat opponents are desperate. After their toadies in the “news” media failed to get traction with vague and anonymous sexual harassment allegations, they hired a notorious Democrat hack to find someone willing to  smear Cain publically:

After attacking Herman Cain through anonymous accusers for a week, his opponents have now convinced a woman with a long history of severe financial difficulties, including personal bankruptcy, to falsely accuse the Republican frontrunner of events allegedly occurring well over a decade ago for which there is no record, nor even a complaint filed.

So, why would she cooperate? Money.

The fact is that Ms. Bialek has had a long and troubled history, from the courts to personal finances—which may help explain why she has come forward 14 years after an alleged incident with Mr. Cain, powered by celebrity attorney and long term Democrat donor Gloria Allred.

But she says she’s not in it for money.

Sharon Bialek … today acknowledged she has experienced financial and legal difficulties in recent years, but said they were ‘absolutely not’ related to her decision to come forward and detail her encounter with Cain in a car outside a Washington hotel fourteen years ago.

Right. She was his friend only a month ago:

Witness: Sharon Bialek hugged Herman Cain during Tea Party meeting a month ago … They hugged each other backstage in a full embrace like old friends … She grabbed his arm and whispered in his left ear.

Now, she’s got a Democrat lawyer and is holding news conferences about an event that allegedly took place more than a decade ago. This is obviously another phony tale from Democrat smear machine. I you believe it, please do not reproduce and for heaven’s sake stay away from the voting booth.

UPDATE: Accoring to Ed Morrissey, Cain will hold a press conference at 5pm. I hope he comes out swinging.

Congratulations to Judge Silverman & Kavanaugh for their well-reasoned opinions striking down challenges to the Obama health reform law in the D.C. Circuit. Their opinions are models of conservative jurisprudence.
