VIDEO: SANTORUM EXPLAINS HIS VOTE FOR MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG ENTITLEMENT

Well, when I left for my vacation among the crumbling remains of the Roman Empire, Rick Santorum’s campaign seemed in ruins as well. I paid no attention to politics while I was gone, so I was surprised to discover that the former Senator has suddenly broken through and actually has a chance to win in Iowa.

This has naturally intensified scrutiny on his record and one of the negatives being raised is his vote in favor of expanding Medicare to cover  prescription drugs. Most conservatives regard the Part-D program as an unalloyed evil, but it was more complicated than that. In this clip, Santorum explains:

    Aren’t you glad you’re no longer poking around the remnants of a once-mighty cultural, economic and military superpower that was the pinnacle of civilization and progress during its time but since declined due to fiscal and moral decay.
