Update:  I expand on Coulter’s weird one-eighty concerning Mitt Romney in a column for today’s American Spectator. Read it here.

Of the conservative writers I admire, there is but one whose books I never fail to buy—Ann Coulter. She’s smart as hell and, more importantly, courageous. She has always been willing to write what many conservatives don’t have the guts to say. She has never played it safe and never bothered to align her opinions with those of establishment Republicans. In 2008, for example, she declared that she would vote for Hillary if the GOP nominated John McCain for President.

But now the woman who was once the scourge of RINOs everywhere is promoting the worst of the breed. Compared to Romney, McCain looks like Barry Goldwater. But it gets worse. Her support for the former Massachusetts governor has led her to say and write things that are not merely inaccurate, but genuinely stupid. The latest example of this heart-breaking development is this ridiculous piece titled “Three Cheers for Romneycare.?

This surreal effusion has been effectively rebutted by dozens of blog posts and columns, including those found here, here and here. So, I won’t bother reiterating the huge problems Romneycare has causeed in Massachusetts. But if you want to hear Mark Levin chop it to pieces listen to the following:
