Paul Hsieh points out in Forbes that ObamaCare is already doing economic harm and reminds us not to let the Beltway propaganda merchants blame it on the market:
As the problems of ObamaCare inevitably emerge, the big question will be whether they will be blamed on the residual free-market elements of our health system or on the new government controls. This will be the battle of the ‘narrative.’
The standard pattern was established long ago: Government impose a huge, expensive program that creates all manner of perverse economic incentives and unintended consequences.
Then, the bureaucrats advise us that the market “doesn’t work” for health (or whatever) and offers yet another boondoggle to fix the economic problems created by the first.
