Earlier in the week, I wrote a column for the American Spectator about the corruption of HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Well, her skulduggery didn’t begin when she joined the Obama regime. It stretches back to her tenure as the Governor of Kansas. And, if you think the above title is overly sensational, watch this video [...]
In today’s American Spectator, I discuss the breathtaking corruption of Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services: Before the advent of Commissar Sebelius, the typical Secretary of Health and Human Services has maintained such a low profile and remained so far from scandal that most voters would be hard put to name any of the [...]
Last week, federal investigators from the Office of Special Counsel announced that Obama’s HHS Secretary broke the law. Specifically, she violated the Hatch Act which prohibits federal employees from campaigning while acting in an official capacity. Special Counsel Carolyn Lerner wrote to Obama that the OSC found Sebelius ‘violated the Hatch Act by making extemporaneous [...]

Falling in with the party line on Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan, HHS Commissar Sebelius repeats the idiot canard about “ending Medicare as we know it.” She fails mention that “Medicare as we know it” is going to go broke soon and that neither she nor her boss have put forward any serious plan to save [...]
As I wrote the other day in AmSpec, the Obama regime is attempting hide its deep Medicare Advantage cuts with an $8 billion “demonstration project” that will prop up its benefits and keep down its co-pays until after the election. The GAO and MedPAC have publically called for HHS to shut down the transparent fraud [...]
Obama and his HHS Commissar are moving forward with their anti-conscience mandate, despite widespread discontent about its requirement that religiously affiliated employers pay for contraception and sterlization procedures that conflict with their own beliefs and teachings: Officials at the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor, and the Treasury today took the next step in [...]
Sebelius was peppered last Wednesday by Senator Ron Johnson about the phony math she has been using about the cost of ObamaCare. But the highlight of the exchange involved the infamous waivers: JOHNSON: Now, you’ve granted quite a few waivers, about 1,200 to 1,700 waivers, on about 4 million Americans, correct? SEBELIUS: I’ve no idea what waivers [...]
My column in today’s American Spectator discusses a new federal regulation that will profoundly change your relationship with government and eliminate what vestiges of personal privacy you still enjoy: The new regulation … requires insurance companies to submit detailed health information about their patients to the HHS mother ship. And the “information collection requirements? (ICRs) [...]
Remember HIPAA? That’s the federal law that says, among other things, that no one has a right to see your confidential health information without your permission. Well, it would appear that there is at least one entity to which HIPAA apparently doesn’t apply—the federal government itself: In a proposed rule from Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and [...]
Since ObamaCare passed, congressional Democrats and the White House have claimed that $500 billion in Medicare cuts will help balance the Medicare budget AND help pay for “reform.” This is, of course, not possible. It can be used for one or the other, but it can’t be used for both. During a hearing of the House Energy and [...]
